1. Why Natural Handmade Soap?

Handmade soap cleans gently to leave your skin soft and smooth.  Our natural soap is different & better than body wash….here’s why:
Body wash and commercial bars are really not like handmade soap at all, they’re actually detergents.
Detergents work differently than soap:  they strip dirt & soil from your skin (and healthy oils in the process) often leaving it feeling tight & dry.
Switching from body wash or liquid hand “soap” to natural handmade soap can make a noticeable difference in the look and feel of your skin!

Handmade soap cleans gently without stripping healthy oils.

Due to its unique molecular structure, real soap hand made using the cold process method, will actually attract dirt off your skin without stripping healthy oils People around the world have used gentle soap and water on their faces & bodies for centuries!
Our handmade soap is rich in naturally occurring glycerin, a substance that’s known to make skin feel soft and comfortable. Glycerin works by attracting and holding moisture next to your skin’s surface.
Ayana spa natural handmade soap is created entirely from scratch with extra virgin olive from our own olive grove, organic coconut, sustainable palm, jojoba and almond.  These oils result in a soap that is mild and long lasting.
We “superfat” our soap with Shea butters & Cocoa butter to help condition your skin every time you wash.  (Superfatting is the process of adding extra oils/butters, which remain suspended within the finished soap.)  That’s why our handmade soap makes your skin feel so moisturized and soft!

We use natural ingredients to add skin moisturizing and purifying properties to our handmade soap! Some of our favorite colorants are mineral-rich natural clays that come in a variety of shades; each with different benefits for the skin.
Choosing to use handmade soap is a great way to take care of your body’s largest organ -your skin!

Whether you have dry skin, normal skin, oily skin, acne, even eczema or psoriasis -we have a natural soap that’s right for you.

2.Are your natural handmade soaps for the face, hands or body?

We designed our soap formula (recipe) for use on all parts of the body – face, hands and body. To our soap recipe, we add different ingredients to customize our soaps for different purposes. We offer scrub soaps that are great for an exfoliating shower; Goat’s milk that are wonderful for the face and the whole body; Unscented soap; for those that prefer unscented soaps or have a more sensitive skin; Kids range for a fun and nourishing bath time; soothing Shave soap for men and women’s shaving needs and unique frankincense.

3.Is your soap dying for my skin?

Our natural handmade soap has been tested to have a PH balance of 6.5 – 7.5. Which is very soothing and moisturizing for your skin. You may not need lotion anymore.

4.How long does a bar of your soap typically last?

Most of our customers say a bar of our soap lasts them between 3-4 weeks. This is based on normal use. If you're lathering up six different times because you're enjoying the scent and experience, obviously a bar isn't going to last that long! As the saying goes - your mileage may vary.

5.What should I do to make my soap last longer? ?

Let your soap dry out between uses, by putting your soap on some kind of a soap dish that allows air to circulate around the bar. A 'proper' soap dish will either raise the bar up for air to circulate from beneath, or contain air holes for drainage of water below the soap.

6.Why are your soap weights approximate?

Weights are approximate because every bar is hand cut and no two are identical. The bars are weighed after a minimum three-week curing time, when they are wrapped. However they continue to loose moisture after this time, so the weight of each bar may vary.

7.Do you make bigger bars and can I get a discount for buying more?

Our business model is also designed around repeat buyers who know what they like and want don't need to pay extra for wrapped soap. Repeat buyers who like to 'stock up' and buy their favorite soaps in larger quantities. Thus, we offer you money-saving opportunities on 'Soap by the loaf' at 10% discount (each loaf cuts eight bars of soap).

8.Do you accept custom orders?

Yes, depending on your needs, we will be happy to accommodate custom orders for soap. Feel free contact us at +968 24693435 to discuss your needs and how we can fulfill them. We need at least a 3 weeks notice for custom orders plus 50% non-refundable advance payment.

10.Do you use any animal products in your soaps? ?

Yes, we do. We use local goat's milk in one of our soap (Omani goat's milk soap). All our other soaps are Vegan and contain no animal products

11.I'm allergic to fragrance - Do you have any soap for me or can you customize a perfect soap for me?

Yes, we make unscented soaps like our 80% Olive oil Castile soap, or our Calendula infused soap, unscented papaya & coconut milk, and unscented shave soap. We will be very happy to customize a soap that will suit your skin condition. Please contact us at +96824693435 for a free consultation.

12.I have sensitive skin and can't use most soap. Will I be able to use yours?

Yes, most likely you will be able to use our soaps because they are incredibly mild and gentle. Most commercial soaps are detergent based, using lots of synthetic ingredients, and that's what usually causes skin reactions. That's very different from how we make our soaps. We don't use any artificial colorants, hardeners, latherers or preservatives. We are not aware of anyone who is unable to use our soaps. If you have allergies to fragrance, then we suggest you either select scents derived from 100% natural 'Essential Oils' like Lavender or an unscented soap.

13.What is the "white powder" on top of some of your bars?

Occasionally, you may see some white stuff on top of our soaps. This is called 'soda ash' and is a harmless substance that forms when air reaches a batch of soap in its first 24 hours of life. You are most likely to see it on our peppermint soaps, and on batches made on especially humid days. It will rinse off the first time you use the soap.

14.How long does your Soap stay good?

Our soaps usually stay 'good' for years. In fact, the older soap gets, the longer it will last when you finally combine it with water in your shower. However, time does affect the intensity of soap's fragrance. For best fragrance, we recommend that you enjoy your soaps within three months of purchase. Remember that we don't use any preservatives in our soaps, so protect them from humidity and extremes of heat and cold.
